If the live steaming freezes when you preview the camera via Reolink App or Client, here are the tips for your try.
The Freezing Issue on Reolink App
- Please test whether you will meet the same problem when previewing the camera via Reolink Client. If yes, please
- Check whether the camera could get a well signal at the mounting place: How to Check WiFi Signal Reception of Wireless Cameras via Reolink App
- Check whether the antennas have been fixed on the camera firmly(for the camera which has the external WiFi antennas)
- Move the camera closer to your router to have a try and ensure that there are no obstacles between the camera and the router
- Reboot both the camera and router
- Test the camera with another router if you have
- Place the camera in a simple scene to have a try
- Lower the Bitrate for the camera: Set up the Record Encode for Reolink Cameras
- Preview the camera in Fluent mode: Change Live Stream Mode on Reolink App/Change Live Stream Mode on Reolink Client (Windows)
- If you have installed the SD card in the camera, please take out the SD card and place it in the pc to see if the recorded videos also have the freezing problem.
- If you could preview the camera via Reolink Client smoothly, please check whether you will get the freezing problem when viewing the streaming under both the Fluent and Clear modes.
1) If it only freezes in the Clear mode:
If you use the Android phone, please check whether the Hardware Decoding option has been enabled or not.
If you use the Samsung phone and your camera is the 4K type, the issue is caused by the compatibility issues between the camera and your phone system.
2) If it freezes in both Clear and Fluent modes, please reboot your phone and check whether your phone signal is well.
Please also upgrade your app to the latest version.

2) If it freezes in both Clear and Fluent modes, please upgrade your Client to the latest version and change a pc.
