The triggering interval of the PIR sensor is designed for battery-powered cameras. Please check it in detail with the following information.

Applies to: All Reolink battery-powered cameras.

Reolink battery-powered cameras will send an alarm every time when PIR Sensor is triggered. At the same time, your camera will start to record the motion for 8s/15s/30s according to the Post-Motion Recording Duration that you chose. (The post-motion record duration of Reolink Go Ranger PT is defaulted to 15 seconds and cannot be changed.)

Also, the PIR sensor won't be triggered every time when it detects motion. When PIR Sensor detects a continual event, the motion that happened between the interval of 5~8s later of the first motion will be detected as the second alarm. The motion that happened less than 5s after the first motion will not trigger an alarm.

Thus, 5-8s is the triggering interval of the PIR sensor. This interval is to avoid some factors such as waving leaves to cause false alarms and to save the electricity of the camera as much as possible.
