NVR is the abbreviation of Network Video Recorder.
The main function of NVR is to receive the digital video code stream transmitted by IPC (network camera) equipment through the network, which is the storage and forwarding part of the network video monitoring system. NVR works together with video encoder or network camera to complete the video recording, storage and forwarding functions.
Compared with DVR, NVR has a single function. It does not have the function of digital conversion and coding of analog video, and can not work independently. Generally, it works together with video encoder DVS or network camera IPC to complete the video recording, storage and forwarding functions.
