How to Protect My Data Security and Privacy

Please do not worry about the security issue. We have taken effective actions to make sure your data is secure in transmission and storage.

Applies to: All Reolink cameras & NVRs.

• Cameras are secured by the login password. After the first login, we'll require users to change the default password. And the password is also secured when saved locally, during the data transmission, and with the encrypted Flash chip.
• Web access uses HTTPS. Regarding other protocols such as Nginx, CGI and ONVIF, etc., we have incorporated the latest code to fix the vulnerabilities, and we’ve added necessary specifications in software to protect our cameras from being hacked.
• Cameras are based on Linux and have closed some public protocol ports which are often attacked by hackers such as Telnet.
