In today’s digital world, efficient management of continuous recordings is essential. Besides using SD cards and Reolink NVR, you can set up your camera to upload recordings directly to an FTP server. This article will guide you through the setup process for seamless storage and access.
Applies to: Which Cameras/NVRs Support FTP Uploading
Step 1. Ensure FTP settings are properly configured and that you’ve received an “FTP Test Successful” message.
If you haven’t set this up yet, refer to the article "How to Set up FTP for Reolink Products," which explains the FTP configuration process for your Reolink device.
Step 2. Set up Continuous Recording Schedule.
Once you’ve completed the configuration, follow the steps below to set up a continuous recording schedule. After completing these settings, your device will continuously upload recordings to the FTP server.

Via Reolink App
Step 1. Launch your Reolink App and go to the device settings of the device that you want to configure. Go to the FTP > Schedule page.
Step 2. Select Timer and tap the gird of the day you want to configure. Set your desired time by tapping and scrolling on the time table, then select Enable. You can tap other days in the bottom of the page to copy the schedule to them. Enable all time and select all days to create a 24/7 schedule for uploading recording to FTP.
Step 3. Remeber to tap Save after configuring.

Via Reolink Client
Step 1. Launch your Reolink Client and go to the Device Settings > Surveillance > FTP > Schedule. Check if you have enable FTP if you don't find the button of Schedule.
Step 2. Click Timer and select Enable, then click on the girds to customize the continuous record schedule. You can click to quickly configure a 24/7 schedule for uploading recordings to FTP.
Step 3. Click Save to save your configuration.

Via Reolink Web browser
Applies to: Which Cameras/NVRs/Home Hub Can be Accessed via Web Browsers
For New UI, you can refer to the steps below. Scroll down if the web interface of your device is an old version.
Step 1. Log in to your Reolink device via a web browser, and go to device settings page.
Step 2. Go to Surveillance > FTP. Click Timer and select Enable, then click on the girds to customize the continuous record schedule.
You can click to quickly configure a 24/7 schedule for uploading recordings to FTP.
Step 3. At last, click Save to save the settings.
For Old UI, you can refer to the steps below.
Step 1. Log in to your camera via a web browser.
Step 2. Go to Device Settings > Advanced > FTP.
Step 3. Complete the information required.
Step 4. Check Enable. Click Normal and check the grid to turn it blue, which means there will be non-stop recordings uploaded in that hour. If you check all the grids, it will upload continuous recordings 24/7.
Step 5. Click OK to save the settings. Click Test to check whether FTP has been set up successfully.

Via Reolink NVR (new UI)
Applies to: RLN8-410 with hardware version N2MB02/H3MB18/N3MB01/N7MB01; RLN16-410 with hardware version H3MB18/N6MB01; RLN12W.
Step 1. Click Daily Schedule to configure schedule for FTP uploading.
Step 2. Select the channel you want to configure, toggle on the switch next to it to unfold the schedule.
Select Timer, click Enable and then click on the girds to customize the continuous record schedule.
If you want to copy the configuration to all the other cameras, click Applies to Other Camera(s) to proceed.

Via Reolink NVR (Old UI)
Applies to: RLN4-410, RLN8-410 (hardware version H3MB02/H3MB16), and RLN16-410 (hardware version H3MB02/H3MB06).
Step 1. Log in your NVR, and go to Menu > Network > Advanced > FTP Settings.
Step 3. Click Schedule to configure the schedule of FTP upload. Check Enable and select the channel you want to configure. Click Normal and check all the grids.
Step 4. Click Apply to save the settings.
