SSID is short for Service Set Identifier. It is simply the technical term for a WiFi name. People typically encounter an SSID when they are using a mobile device to connect to a wireless network.

Applies to: All Reolink Wi-Fi IP cameras and battery-powered WiFi cameras

Your WiFi name (SSID) is located on a label that's either on the bottom or on the side of your modem. Please refer to the picture below:

To connect Reolink cameras to your WiFi network successfully, you need to make your WiFi password meet the requirements below:

  • For Reolink power supply WiFi cameras (E1 excluded):

No more than 127 digits (Supporting numbers, letters, special characters, Chinese characters, spaces.)

  • For E1 and Reolink battery-powered WiFi cameras: 

No more than 31 digits (Supporting numbers, letters, special characters (& <> excluded), Chinese characters, spaces.
