With the Patrol function, you can set your camera to patrol different areas at the speed and with the stay time customized by you. In this section, we gather all the methods of setting up patrol for the camera. You may choose one to follow according to the platform you are operating on.
Applies to: RLC-423, RLC-423W, RLC-523WA, RLC-823 Series (RLC-823A, RLC-823A 16X, RLC-823S1, RLC-823S2, RLC-823S1W)
Note: If you want to set up patrol for your camera, please set the presets first.

Via Reolink App
Step 1. Launch the Reolink App and enter the live-view page of your camera. Tap the PTZ icon, and then tap the Patrol icon on the dashboard.
Step 2. Tap the Add button on the Patrol setting page, and choose the preset points you've set in advance as the patrol points. Tap Confirm to save the settings.
For example, the picture below shows a patrol route of "1-2".Notes:
1. You can tap the button to start the patrol and tap the button to suspend it.
2. You can tap on the icon of the preset points and drag to change the order of the presets. Then the patrol route will also be altered.
3. The same preset can be added to the patrol route repeatedly.
4. You can tap the edit icon to customize the duration of stay(s) and patrol speed at each preset point.
5. You can also delete the preset point you do not want the camera to patrol by tapping the Trash Can icon.
6. There's a snapshot of the preset point/patrol point for your reference so it will be easier to recognize and manage the point you set.

Via Reolink Client
Step 1. Launch the Reolink Client and enter the live-view page of your camera. Then click the PTZ button.
Step 2. Click Patrol on the PTZ panel. Then click the Add button.
Step 3. Tick to choose the patrol points you need. For example, a patrol route of "1-2-3" has been successfully set up as shown in the picture below.
Click to edit the patrol speed (refers to the speed at which the camera moves from the previous patrol point to that patrol point) and the patrol time (refers to the stay time at that patrol point).
Notes:
1. Now click and the camera will start to patrol; click and the patrol will be suspended.
2. You may click to refresh the patrol points in case they have not been modified automatically as you modified the presets.
3. You could add the same preset repeatedly in a patrol route.
4. You can change the order of the patrol points by dragging them with your mouse. Then the patrol route will change accordingly.
5. You can click the Trash Can button to delete the patrol points. Once all the patrol points are deleted, the patrol route is deleted accordingly.

Via Reolink Web browser
Step 1. Input the IP Address of your camera on a web browser and log in to your camera.

Step 2. Click the drop-down arrow to unfold the PTZ menu on the live-view page. Then click Patrol.
Please note that you must set up presets for your camera before setting up a patrol route.
Step 3. Click the Add button to create a new patrol route. Tick to choose the patrol points you need (from the preset points that have been set before). Then click Confirm.
Step 4. Now a patrol route of "my window-my plant-my flower" has been successfully set up as shown in the picture below. Click the edit icon to customize the patrol speed (refers to the speed at which the camera moves from the previous patrol point to that patrol point) and the patrol time (refers to the stay time at that patrol point). Click Confirm if you finish changing the parameters.
Step 5. A new patrol route has been successfully created for your camera.
Notes:
1. Now click and the camera will start to patrol; click and the patrol will be suspended.
2. You may click to refresh the patrol points in case they have not been modified automatically as you modified the presets.
3. You could add the same preset repeatedly in a patrol route.
4. You can change the order of the patrol points by dragging them with your mouse. Then the patrol route will change accordingly.
5. You can click the Trash Can button to delete the patrol points. Once all the patrol points are deleted, the patrol route is deleted accordingly.

Via Reolink NVR (new UI)
Step 1. Enter the live-view page of your camera on the NVR monitor, and click the PTZ icon to call the PTZ menu.
Step 2. Click the Settings gear icon of Patrol. Then click Add button to add presets as the patrol points of your patrol route. If you haven't set up any presets, please refer to the guide for help.
Step 3. You may choose the preset points you need. Click the Add button to add more presets. Please note that you can add the same preset repeatedly. The picture below shows that a patrol route of "preset 1-preset 2-preset 3" has been created. The camera will patrol according to this path.
Step 4. The camera will patrol at the speed of 6 and stay at each preset point for 1 second by default. You can change these parameters. Click on the preset point to set them up.
Notes:
1. Duration: The time for which the camera will stay at this patrol point (1-300 seconds).
2. Speed: the speed at which the camera will move to this patrol point (1-64). The larger the number, the faster the moving speed.
3. If you don't need a patrol point anymore, click the Trash Can icon to delete it from your patrol route. Deleting all the patrol points means the patrol route is deleted, too.Step 5. After setting up a patrol route, turn back to the PTZ menu.
Click on Patrol, and then the camera will start to patrol automatically according to the patrol route.
Click on Patrol, and then the camera will stop auto patrol.

Via Reolink NVR (Old UI)
Step 1. Enter the PTZ control panel to click the Patrol button.
Step 2. Check the No. box to choose presets you need in the patrol path, then click Set to configure its Duration and Speed.
Note:
1. Preset Name: Select one position set in Preset.
2. Duration: Set the duration time that the camera will stay at this position.
3. Speed: Set the speed turning to the next position.Step 3. After setting up all the preset positions you need, click Add to save the settings, and the setup of the patrol path is completed. Now you can click Start to start the patrol then click OK to exit the page.
