There are two types of PIR sensors: digital and analog. Digital PIR sensor has adjustable sensitivity levels, represented by specific values, while analog PIR sensor offers sensitivity settings in three levels: low, mid, and high. Digital PIR sensor is much more sensitive and immune to false triggers. Each level has a corresponding PIR detecting distance or PIR detecting range.
Applies to: All Reolink battery-powered cameras.
For Most battery-powered cameras (except TrackMix LTE Plus 2, Argus 2 with analog PIR, Argus Pro)
| Sensitivity | Value |
Detection Distance (for person/vehicle/animal) |
| Low | 0-50 | Up to 5 meters (16ft) |
| Mid | 51-80 | Up to 8 meters (26ft) |
| High | 81-100 | Up to 10 meters (33ft) |
For TrackMix LTE Plus 2

Note: The type of PIR sensor (analog or digital) built into Argus 2 may vary, depending on the production time of the camera.
The actual detection distance also depends on the mounting height and angle of your cameras in actual use. You may refer to this article for more details: Installation Tips for Reolink Battery-Powered Cameras.
