Currently, the only audio detection supported by Reolink cameras is cry sound detection.
Cry sound detection uses pre-trained learning algorithms to identify audio features matching a baby’s cry. These models are trained on large datasets of baby cries to recognize unique sound patterns.
When the camera detects a cry that meets the preset criteria, it automatically triggers an alert—such as sending a push notification to your phone or starting a recording—so caregivers can respond quickly.
The table below lists the models and hardware requirements that currently support cry sound detection:
Model (Hardware Version) | Firmware Version Availability |
E1 Pro (IPC_NT1NA45MP) |
Released, upgradable. |
E1 Zoom (IPC_566SD664M5MP / IPC_NT14NA48MPSD6) |
Released, upgradable. |
E Series E321 (IPC_MS4NO23MPW) |
Factory-supported, no firmware upgrade needed. |
E Series E330 (IPC_NT1NA45MP) |
Released, upgradable. |
E Series E331 (IPC_NT1NA45MPSD18V2) | Factory-supported, no firmware upgrade needed. |
E Series E340 (IPC_566SD664M5MP / IPC_NT14NA48MPSD6) | Released, upgradable. |
How to Enable Cry Sound Detection
-
Open the Reolink App.
- In Push Notification schedule settings (you can also choose other alarm actions, such as recording or email alerts), check Cry Sound Detection.
-
Save your changes.
After enabling, the camera will send push notifications whenever it detects a baby’s cry.
