PTZ is an abbreviation for Pan, Tilt, and Zoom. A pan–tilt–zoom camera (PTZ camera) is a camera that is capable of remote directional control (left/ right/ up/ down) and zoom control.

Pan means the camera can rotate from left and right, allowing the camera to have a wide area of coverage.

Tilt means the camera can tilt up and down, giving the camera a wide vertical range of coverage.

Camera with Zoom (Optical Zoom) can physically adjust the lens, changing the focal length to zoom in and out while maintaining the image quality. Below is a table that shows which cameras support PTZ functions.
