PTZ is an abbreviation for Pan, Tilt, and Zoom. A pan–tilt–zoom camera (PTZ camera) is a camera that is capable of remote directional control (left/ right/ up/ down) and zoom control.
Pan means the camera can rotate from left and right, allowing the camera to have a wide area of coverage.
Tilt means the camera can tilt up and down, giving the camera a wide vertical range of coverage.
Camera with Zoom (Optical Zoom) can physically adjust the lens, changing the focal length to zoom in and out while maintaining the image quality.
