With 2-Step Verification (also known as two-factor authentication), you can add an extra layer of security to protect your account. After setting up 2-Step Verification, you can sign in to your account in two steps using:
- Something you know, like your password
- Something you have, like your phone
Turn on 2-Step verification
- Login to your Reolink account on Reolink official website and go to Account Details.
- Under Security, find 2FA, and click Turn On.
- Use Email Verification to verify your identity. Click Send Code and you will received a verification code in your email account. Enter the verification code you received and hit Verify.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to install the Authenticator App.
- Set up Authenticator App as instructed then click Next.
- Enter the verification code from the Authenticator App and click Next.
- Done! 2FA is enabled successfully in your Reolink account.
Other verification method: backup codes
- Login to your Reolink account on Reolink official website and go to Account Details.
- Under Security, find 2FA, and since it has already been turned on, click Check.
- Under Backup Codes, click Get New Codes.
- Use 2FA or Email Verification to verify your identity. After entering the verification code, hit Next.
- Done! 10 new backup codes were generated for you.
Important: Never give out your backup codes to anyone.
You can print out or download a set of 8-digit backup codes and keep it in a safe place. Backup codes will be helpful if you lose your phone.
