Spotlight can serve as an illumination when the environment is dark, and it can also be used as a deterrent when a stranger is approaching at night. In this article, you will find all the information needed to configure the spotlight settings for your camera on the Reolink App.

Applies to: All Reolink cameras supporting the spotlight

This article will first show you how to manually turn on/off the spotlight of your camera. Then it will guide you on how to set it up in detail.

Note: Only some of the camera models can support adjusting spotlight brightness.

Step 3. There are four modes in total for spotlight settings.

Off: The spotlight will stay off at night. All the cameras supporting the spotlight have this option.

Auto: The spotlight will automatically turn on at night when an alarm event is detected. All the cameras supporting the spotlight have this option.

On as scheduled: The spotlight will automatically turn on at the start time and turn off at the end time you set. All the cameras supporting the spotlight have this option except for Lumus, E1 Outdoor series, and battery-powered ones.

Always On at Night: Spotlight always stays on in night mode. This option only applies to cameras RLC-812A and RLC-824A (needs to upgrade the camera firmware to the latest one), and Duo Floodlight WiFi/PoE.

Note: For battery-powered cameras with the spotlight such as Argus 3 Pro, you can enable Auto-On for Live View, which means the spotlights will automatically turn on when viewing the live feed and turn off afterward.
