Reolink AA battery-powered cameras support two power supply methods: AA battery power and wired power via a Type-C port for continuous operation. The following sections provide a detailed explanation of how to power these specific cameras.

Note: When both wired power and batteries are installed, the camera automatically uses wired power as the primary power source. The batteries serve as backup power only and are not rechargeable. The USB cable is for power supply only, and does not charge the batteries.
Battery Power Mode
In this mode, the camera supports configurations related to battery types only. For the Battery Types, the camera is compatible with the following AA battery types.
AA Non-rechargeable Lithium Batteries (Recommended): Ideal for long-lasting power.
It usually says "Ultimate Lithium" on the battery. For example: Ultimate Lithium AA Batteries.AA Alkaline Batteries: Common, but shorter battery life.
It usually says 'Alkaline' on the battery. For example: Amazon basics AA Alkaline Batteries, refer to: AA Alkaline Batteries.AA NiMH Rechargeable Batteries: Suitable for those who prefer rechargeable options.
It usually says 'NiMH' or '1.2V' on the battery. For example: Rechargeable AA NiMH Batteries 1.2V.Other Types: Including AA Rechargeable Lithium Batteries and other AA batteries.
It usually says 'Rechargeable Lithium-ion' on the battery. We don't recommend these batteries, battery level may not be read accurately.
Important Usage Notes:
When selecting a battery, make sure to choose the corresponding battery type. Using an incorrect battery type may result in inaccurate battery level readings. To adjust, go to Camera Settings > Battery > Battery Type.
Wired Power Mode
In this mode, the camera supports configurations related to wired power only. For Wired Power,
Power adapter: The camera connects to a 5V/1A adapter with A to C cable via the Type-C port, ensuring constant operation.
Outdoor Use: It is recommended to use Reolink's specialized Type-C waterproof cable (included in the box) for a secure outdoor connection.
