Many users ask whether they can connect a joystick controller directly to a Reolink PTZ camera for PTZ (Pan-Tilt-Zoom) operation. The following explains the available control options.

Currently, Reolink cameras do not support connecting to joystick controllers.

You can control your Reolink PTZ cameras in the following ways:

  1. Reolink App (iOS/Android): Use the PTZ control buttons to adjust the camera view.
  2. Reolink Client (Windows/Mac): Use the PTZ control buttons to adjust the camera view.

  3. Reolink Web: If the camera supports web access, log in to the web interface to control the PTZ camera.

  4. Reolink NVR: If your PTZ camera is connected to a Reolink NVR, you can use the NVR’s monitor interface and mouse to control PTZ.
  5. 3rd Party Software: If your PTZ camera supports RTSP/ONVIF protocol and is added to third-party software, you can use the PTZ function of that software to operate the camera.
