This guide will walk you through the proper steps to install a microSD card into your Reolink Elite Series camera, like Reolink Elite WiFi, Elite Floodlight WiFi cameras. A correctly installed and compatible microSD card allows the camera to record and store footage locally for easy access and playback.

Materials Needed:

  1. A microSD card
Only microSD cards are supported; other types of SD cards are not compatible.
The maximum supported capacity for the Reolink Elite camera is 512GB.
  2. Your Reolink Elite camera

Step-by-Step Guide:

  • Step 1: Prepare the microSD Card
Make sure you're using a microSD card with a capacity up to 512GB. Cards that exceed this limit or are not microSD format may cause compatibility issues, potentially resulting in data loss or camera malfunction.
  • Step 2: Power Off the Camera
Before installation, power off your Reolink Elite camera to avoid any risk of electrical damage or data corruption.
  • Step 3: Locate the SD Card Slot
Flip the camera over and locate the SD card cover on the bottom of the camera. Use a screwdriver to remove the screws and open the slot.
  • Step 4: Insert the microSD Card
Take the microSD card and align it with the slot, ensuring it is oriented correctly as shown in the picture below.
