Reolink RLC-823A is a PoE camera that supports human/vehicle detection, auto-tracking, two-way audio etc. functions.

Smart Person and Vehicle Detection
The Smart Person or Vehicle Detection is based on the traditional motion detection but with advanced algorithms and technology, which can tell people and vehicles from other objects.
You can set this function on the reolink app or the reolink client.

On Reolink App
- Please open your Reolink APP > Device settings > Camera Recording.
- Please click the Schedule button, and enable/choose the detection type, and then choose the time & date for detection.
- There are three detection types: " Any Motion"," Person" and " Vehicle". Please enable/ choose either of them or combine two options or all of them together according to your own needs.
- Finally, please click the "Save" button on the right top of the app to save your settings.

On Reolink Client
- Please open your Reolink PC client -> Device settings -> Surveillance ->Record.
- On the Record Schedule page, you will see two options: Alarm & Timer
- Under the Alarm Schedule, please enable/choose the detection type and then choose the time & date for detection.

Finally, please click the Save button on the bottom of the setting to save your settings.

Auto-tracking
Auto tracking uses advanced technology that consists of both detection and tracking. The camera will automatically detect, follow, and even record a specific vehicle or person in the cover area.

- Log into your camera, then go to Device Settings > Detection Alarm page. Turn on Auto Tracking and choose the Tracking Type.

Log into your camera via Web Browser, then go to Device Settings > Cameras > Detection page, then turn on the Auto-tracking:

Preset and Cruise
A Preset is a user-defined position of the camera‘s pan tilt and zoom settings. Creating camera presets in advance can allow it to go to the wanted monitoring positions easily.
Cruise means that you can specify the scanning route of the camera through a set of presets. The camera will scan according to the preset cruising speed and staying time.
You can set this function on the reolink app or the reolink client.

On Reolink App
- Launch Reolink App and enter the PTZ page, then click on the icon to set up multiple presets. After setting, click to set up app patrol.
- Tap and hold to drag the presets one by one to the line.
- If you need to customize the duration and moving speed for a specific preset, tap on the corresponding preset to proceed.
- Tap on the button to start the patrol, and tap on the button to suspend it.

On Reolink Client
- Choose the PTZ menu on the live-view page, use the arrows and the zoom buttons to aim your camera's view at a specific area that you want to set as a preset.
- Click the preset button and set the position as a preset. then you can modify the name.
- Aim the camera to other positions where you want to set as presets by repeating step 1 to step 2.

You may click delete button to delete the preset.

Siren
A camera with an audio alarm or siren can make a loud prolonged sound as a signal or warning when the camera detects motion alarms.
You can set this function on the reolink app or the reolink client.

On Reolink App
- Launch Reolink App and go to the Device Sett page, then tap on Siren under Notification settings.

Enable Siren . Then tap the Custom Alarm Sound option and choose one of the two sound types.

On Reolink Client
- Please launch Reolink Client and connect the camera, then go to the Settings -> Surveillance -> Siren page.

Turn on siren option, then choose Motion to select the time girds during which you want the camera to siren when it detects motions.

Spotlight
When an alarm event is detected, it will be automatically turned on, and the spotlight can also add light sources to produce full-color images.
By default, the Night Mode is set as Auto.

- Please tap Spotlight.
- Tap Modes to set the spotlight mode.

Two-way Audio
Two-way audio enables you to receive and transmit audio through the IP camera. Reolink cameras that support Two-way audio have a built-in speaker and microphone, you could talk through the camera via your Reolink app/client when you are far away from home.
You could follow the articles below to enable Two-way Audio for your Reolink Cameras:

On Reolink App
- Log in to your camera and enable Record Audio in the Device Settings page.
- Click the speaker icon to enable audio and then click the Talk button to enter the 2-way audio interfac.

Tapto talk, and tap the icon again to disable it.

On Reolink Client
- Launch Reolink Client and log in to the camera, then go to Device Settings > Device > Sounds page to enable the Record audio switch.

Enable the audio icon at the bottom of the Live View page, then left-click on the Live Liew Page and then click on the Microphone icon. And then click to start talking, the 2-way audio function is enabled and you can talk now. To turn the microphone off, please tap on the icon again.

PTZ & Focus
With a motorized varifocal lens, RLC-823A allows you to view from a wide-angle. Its 5X optical zoom enables you to zoom in for astonishing details or zoom out for maximum coverage.

To control pan/tilt, please press and hold on the circle button and move it left/right/up/down.
To control zoom, please click zoom then tap + or - to zoom in or out.
To control focus, please click focus then tap + or - to focus near or far.
