For cameras supporting the auto-tracking function, if you want the camera to track and follow a person or vehicle automatically, you need to enable Auto Tracking and set up the auto-tracking features in advance.
Applies to: NVRs: RLN8-410, RLN16-410, and RLN36; cameras: RLC-823A, RLC-823A 16X, RLC-523WA, E1 Outdoor, E1 Outdoor PoE, RLC-830A, Trackmix WiFi, Trackmix PoE, E1 Pro (hardware version IPC_566) and E1 Zoom (hardware version IPC_566)
This article will guide you on how to set up auto-tracking for your camera on an NVR monitor. Please note that this operation only applies to NVRs with the hardware version N2MB02, N3MB01, N7MB01, H3MB18, N6MB01, and N5MB01.

Step 1. Log in to your camera on the NVR monitor and enter the live-view page of your camera. Click the Settings gear icon on the screen.
Step 2. Go to Camera > Detection > Auto Tracking.
- Click the switch of Auto Tracking to turn it on (blue). Now the auto-tracking function of the camera has been enabled.
- Tracking Type: Tick the object (person/vehicle/pet) for the camera to track automatically.
- Tracking Method: The way the camera tracks the object. Currently, the tracking method is PT. For TrackMix series cameras three different tracking methods to choose from.
Done! When a person/vehicle/pet passes by, your camera will follow it automatically.
