This article is a useful guide on how to set up the monitor point for your camera via Reolink Client. 

Applies to: E1 Pro, E1 Zoom, E1 Outdoor Series (E1 Outdoor, E1 Outdoor PoE, E1 Outdoor Pro, E1 Outdoor S, E1 Outdoor CX), RLC-523WA, RLC-823 Series (RLC-823A, RLC-823A 16X, RLC-823S1, RLC-823S2, RLC-823S1W), RLC-81PA, RLC-830A, Reolink TrackMix Series (TrackMix, TrackMix LTE, TrackMix WiFi, TrackMix PoE, TrackMix LTE Plus, TrackMix Wired LTE), Argus PT Ultra, Go PT Ultra, Go Ranger PT, Argus Track

If you want the camera goes back to the default monitoring position after Pan and tilt, please refer to the below steps to set a guard point for the camera via the Reolink Client.

Step 1. Click the PTZ button on the live-view page, and use the arrows and the zoom buttons to aim your camera's view at a specific area that you want to set as a monitor position.

Step 2. Click Monitor Point. Click Reset Monitor Point to set the current position as the monitor point.

  • Return to Monitor Point: Click it and your camera will return to the monitor point immediately.
  • Auto: Enable it so that your camera will return to the monitor point after the camera stop panning or tilting.
  • Intervals: Time duration (10-300 seconds) between the camera stopping pan/tilt and the camera returning to the monitor point.

Note: Before the first time you set up the monitor point, you need to use Calibration

During calibration, the PTZ function is disabled temporarily.
