Setting a password on your Reolink NVR can prevent unauthorized access to your system. This article will show you how to lock the screen via Reolink NVR of a new UI with a monitor connected. You can refer to the following steps.

You can choose between manual or automatic lock screen options. If you want to set the screen to lock after a specific period, you can choose the automatic lock screen. If you want to lock the screen immediately, you can choose the manual lock screen.

Part 1. Choose Automatic Lock Screen
There are two methods for you to set up lock screen.
Method 1: Password Login
Step 1. During the initial setup, you'll be prompted to create a password that will serve as your lock screen password. Simply enter your desired password to complete the setup process.
Step 2. Right-click to pop up menu bar, go to Menu > System > General page. Turn on Enable screen lock (blue) and set up Auto-Lock Time according to your needs. For example, if you set the Auto-Lock Time to 5 minutes, the NVR will automatically lock the screen after 5 minutes of inactivity.
Method 2: Pattern Login
Step 1. Right-click to pop up menu bar, go to Menu > System > Account Center > Pattern Unlock Settings.
Step 2. Enable Pattern Unlock and you need to enter the password you set during the initial configuration to verify your identity.
Step 3. Draw an unlock pattern.
If you want to change the pattern password, you can click Re-draw pattern to change it.
Step 4. Turn on Enable screen lock (blue) and you can also set up Auto-Lock Time according to your needs.
Part 2. Choose Manual Lock Screen
After the screen is locked, when you click the screen again, you will need to use a pattern/password to login. You can click Use password login to change the login method.
