The following steps describe how to set up motion detection and smart sensitivity for the camera via Reolink New UI NVR on the monitor.

Applies to: RLN8-410 (hardware version H3MB18/N2MB02/N3MB01/N7MB01), RLN16-410 (hardware version H3MB18/N6MB01), RLN36 and RLN12W.

 

Motion Detection Sensitivity

Step 1. Log in to the NVR via a monitor, right-click on the screen and go to the Settings page.

Step 2. Select the channel (camera) that you want to set, then click Detection and set the time periods and corresponding sensitivity.

Note: The Sensitivity setting is controlled by a slider, allowing you to set from Low to High.

Smart Detection Sensitivity

Step 1. Log in to the NVR on a monitor. Right-click on the live view page and click the Settings icon.

Step 2. Go to Camera > Detection page. Click the blue Settings under Sensitivity for Smart Detection.

Step 3. Drag the slider on the blue bars to adjust the sensitivity for each smart detection type. 

  • Low: camera detects moving objects with a high-similarity appearance to Person/Vehicle/Pet.
  • Medium: camera detects moving objects with a medium-similarity appearance to Person/Vehicle/Pet.
  • High: camera detects moving objects with a low-similarity appearance to Person/Vehicle/Pet.
