- For Pattern-E cameras, use Screw Pack 3.
- For Pattern-H cameras, use Screw Pack 4.
- For all other patterns, use Screw Pack 2.
Product Overview
- Cable Entries
The front plate/junction cover features a cable entry with a waterproof rubber grommet for the tail cable of the camera, which can be temporarily removed during camera installation for easier cable access.
The base has two side cable entries, allowing you to choose the best option based on your installation needs. One of these cable entries has a cover that can be unscrewed and swapped with the cable gland.
The cable gland includes a waterproof rubber ring, which can be removed temporarily for easier installation.
Additionally, the bottom of the base features another cable entry for further flexibility in cable routing.
- Snap Hook Chain
The Junction Box RLA-JBL1 features a metal snap hook chain. One end of the chain is securely fixed to the front plate/junction cover, while the other end has a D-ring that can be hooked onto a metal ring in the base of the junction box. This hook chain allows you to temporarily hang the front plate, along with the camera attached to it, from the base during installation. This feature provides extra convenience, giving you free hands to climb a ladder or handle tools.
If necessary, you can also temporarily unhook the D-ring during the installation process, giving you more flexibility when adjusting the camera or the cover.
Additionally, this hook chain serves a safety function. If you need to remove the front plate, the chain will prevent the cover and the camera from falling suddenly after the screws are undone, protecting your equipment from damage.
Important Note: For heavier cameras, such as the RLC-823 series, the hook chain may not fully support the weight of the camera. In such cases, always support the camera by hand to avoid accidental drops when installing/uninstalling the camera.

Pattern A: Install Reolink Dome Camera
Step 1. Secure the base of the junction box
1. Prepare the junction box: Remove the screws on the front plate to separate the front plate from the base. Then, unscrew the cover of the cable gland.
2. Feed the cable(s): Feed the network/power cable through the cover of the cable gland and the side cable entry of the junction box.
You can temporarily take the waterproof rubber grommet out of the cable gland to make it easier to thread the cable through. The rubber grommet of the cable gland can be opened along the slit to fit around the cable(s).
3. Drill holes: Attach the mounting template to an appropriate location on the wall/ceiling. Then drill holes according to the hole position on the sticker using a drill bit (not included).
4. Mount the base: Mount the junction box to the wall/ceiling with the screws in the Screw Pack 1. If necessary, you can use the provided drywall anchors for additional support.
Step 2. Secure the camera to the front plate
1. Detach the mounting plate: Hold the base of the camera and then rotate the camera's mounting plate counterclockwise to detach the mounting plate from the camera.
2. Thread the tail cables: Thread the tail cable through the mounting plate of the camera.
Take out the rubber grommet on the front plate. It has a slit that allows it to be opened to put the cables in.
Then thread the cables of the camera through the cable entry on the front plate of the junction box.
3. Secure the mounting plate: Plug the rubber grommet back into the cable entry. Then secure the mounting plate to the corresponding mounting Pattern-A on the front plate with the screws in the Screw Pack 2.
4. Secure the camera: Align the groove on the bottom of the camera with the protrusion on the mounting plate, then rotate the camera base counterclockwise to fix it on the mounting plate and the junction box.
Step 3. Secure the front plate
1. Connect the cable(s): Connect the power supply and the network cable according to your needs.
2. Organize the cables: Tidy the cables and place them in the junction box.
3. Secure the front plate: Secure the front plate to the base of the junction box with screws. Then tighten the cover of the cable gland.
Step 4. Adjust the Camera
Done! You may rotate the camera's casing and body manually to adjust the camera’s surveillance angle.

Pattern B/F: Install Reolink Vandal Proof camera
Step 1. Thread the camera's tail cables through the front plate
1. Remove the front plate: Unscrew the screws on the front plate to separate the front plate from the base.
2. Thread the tail cable: Take out the rubber grommet on the front plate. It has a slit that allows it to be opened to put the cables in. Then thread the cables of the camera through the cable entry on the front plate of the junction box.
Then plug the rubber grommet back into the cable entry.
Step 2. Mount the base of the junction box
1. Drill holes: Attach the mounting template to an appropriate location on the wall/ceiling. Then drill holes according to the hole position on the sticker using a drill bit (not included).
Important Note: The direction of the junction box base installation should not be decided arbitrarily.
The camera is fixed at a specific angle on the front plate of the junction box, so the junction box must be installed at the corresponding angle to ensure proper alignment. If this is not taken into account, it may result in the camera being installed at an angle that is not what you intended.
Therefore, before drilling the holes for the base of the junction box, check the camera angle you need, then attach the mounting template accordingly.
To adjust the angle of the camera lens, please refer to How to Install Reolink Vandal-Proof Camera
2. Feed the cable(s): Unscrew the cover of the cable gland.
Feed the network/power cable through the cover of the cable gland and the side cable entry of the junction box. You can temporarily take the waterproof rubber grommet out of the cable gland to make it easier to thread the cable through. The rubber grommet of the cable gland can be opened along the slit to fit around the cable(s).
3. Mount the base: Mount the junction box into the wall/ceiling with the screws in screw pack 1. If necessary, you can use the provided drywall anchors for additional support.
Step 3. Secure the front plate
1. Connect the cables: Connect the power supply and the network cable according to your needs.
2. Organize the cables: Tidy the cables and place them in the junction box.
3. Secure the front plate: Secure the front plate to the base with the screws. Then tighten the cover of the cable gland.
Note: Please do not secure the camera to the front plate before this step, as the camera may block the screw holes for securing the front plate, preventing it from being properly attached to the base.
Step 4. Secure the camera
1. Remove the glass cover: Remove the screws that secure the camera glass cover with a hexagonal screwdriver.
2. Secure the camera: Make sure the grooves on the front plate of the junction box and the cable outlet of the camera are aligned. Then secure the camera to the corresponding mounting pattern on the junction box with the screws in screw pack 2.
3. Install the glass cover back: Lock the glass cover of the camera in place. Done!
