Scene Mode allows you to quickly enable or disable functions of all your Reolink devices connected to your Home Hub simply by switching the scene mode. This feature makes everything easier and more convenient.

Applies to: Reolink Home Hub.

1. What is Scene Mode

Scene Mode allows your Home Hub to configure the connected devices automatically based on your selected mode. This means you can easily enable or disable functions for all devices by switching between modes in the Reolink app, including alert notification, sirens, recording, PTZ tracking, and other functions. There are three default modes: Disarmed, Home, and Away, each uniquely configuring your devices. You can customize these modes to suit your preferences. Additionally, you can create up to six scenes (including the three default modes), five of them allowing you to tailor the settings for each device, providing plenty of options to meet your needs. Scene Mode is undoubtedly a great feature that makes your life more convenient and secure.

Note: Specific functions of different devices may be different.

2. How to Set up Scene Mode

Three Default Modes

Disarmed: In this scene, all alarm notifications and recording functions will be disabled, and all defenses will be disarmed. This scene cannot be edited. It is recommended for use when you want to avoid interruptions from your cameras and do not require alarms or recordings.

Note: In Disarmed Mode, cameras will neither alarm nor record. Please ensure that you do not require these functions before activating this mode.

Home: In this scene, all devices enable recording, while alert notifications and siren triggering are disabled. It's recommended for use when you are at home to minimize disturbances.

Away: In this scene, all devices enable tracking and alarm notifications, providing comprehensive monitoring. It's recommended for use when you are away from home to keep everything under control.

3. Important Notice of Scene Mode

Before enabling Scene, please ensure that the alert notifications, Siren, recording, PTZ tracking, and other functions on devices connected to Home Hub are enabled and properly configured; otherwise, these functions may not work correctly.

For example, if you enable recording for Camera A in the Home scene, but Camera A hasn't activated the recording function in its settings or its recording schedule doesn't include this period, then Camera A will not record.
