This article will guide you on how to install the Reolink Altas cameras.
Applies to: Reolink Altas PT Ultra, Reolink Altas.
Before the installation, please read the following precautions to choose the most suitable location.
- Lighting: Install the camera in residential areas with dim ambient lighting at night.
- Height: Install the camera 2-3 meters (7-10 feet) above the ground. This height maximizes the detection range of the PIR motion sensor.
-
Angle: To optimize motion detection, install the camera at an angle. Ensure that side-to-side movement crosses the detection areas. If a subject moves straight toward the camera, the PIR sensor may fail to detect motion.
