1. What is Reolink RLA-BKW5 Wall Mount Bracket

The RLA-BKW5 Wall Mount Bracket is a dual-mounting accessory designed for securely attaching both a Reolink battery-powered camera and solar panel. It consists of two articulated arms, each featuring a 360° ball head for flexible positioning.

Made with durable materials and offering two installation options—screw mounting or strap mounting—it’s suitable for a wide range of environments such as walls, poles, or trees. Its built-in cable management system also helps keep solar panel wiring neatly organized and protected.

3. Installation Guide and Tips

Installation Tips:

  • Choose a flat surface: Ensure that the bracket is mounted on a flat wall.
  • Check weight capacity: Ensure the wall can support the total weight of the
    device and its accessories.

Installation Steps:

Step 1: Install the Base

1. Remove the Cover Plate: Remove the middle screw from the bracket base with a screwdriver to take off the cover plate.

2. Secure the Base: There are two methods to secure the bracket: drilling holes for screws or using a strap.

Method 1. Wall Mount with Screws.

Use the mounting template to mark and drill holes in the wall.

Method 2. Strap Mounting to a Tree or Pole.

Pass the provided strap through the slots on both sides of the bracket, then wrap it around the tree or pole and securely tighten it.

Step 2: Attach the Solar Panel to the Bracket

1. Organize the Cable: Reserve an appropriate length of the solar panel's cable and neatly wrap any excess inside the bracket base.

2. Check the Cable: Align the central holes of the base plate and the cover plate, and route the cable ends through the designated notches on both sides of the base, ensuring it is neatly organized and unobstructed.

3. Fix the Cover Plate: Once the cable is organized, insert the middle screw back into the bracket base to securely attach the cover plate.

4. Assemble the Articulated Arm:

  • Insert the ball ends of the ball joint and the ball stud into the corresponding sockets of the
    articulated arm.
  • The ball ends rotate 360° for easy positioning. Tighten the connection using the locking knob.

5. Attach Solar Panel:

  • Align the threaded end of the articulated arm with the screw hole on the back of the solar
    panel, and rotate the ball stud to tighten it. Note that there are two sizes of ball studs; use the
    small-sized ball stud here.
  • If it feels too tight to turn, adjust the balls' tightness using the locking knob.

Step 3: Install Camera

1. Assemble the Articulated Arm: Insert the ball joint into the articulated arm's socket and tighten the locking knob.

2. Attach the Camera

Align the threaded end of the articulated arm with the screw hole on the back of the camera
and rotate the ball stud to secure it.
If it feels too tight to turn, adjust the balls‘ tightness using the locking knob.
NOTE:

  • Camera sold separately.
  • There are two sizes of ball studs; choose the one that fits your model's bracket holes.

3. Final Adjustments: Adjust the ball joints and studs of the two articulated arms to position the camera and solar panel at the desired angles. Once positioned, lock them in place using the locking knob.
