2. How to Use App Password when Setting up Reolink Email Alert

1. Before using the App password for the Reolink device's email alert configuration, please make sure to delete the three blank spaces in between. The password should be 16 digits without any blank spaces. For example, if you generate a new App password as in the picture below, then you should enter nujhfssoIxximcsa for the Reolink device.

generate app password

The following are the details you need to fill out:

Sever: smtp.gmail.com
Sender address: [email protected] (your Gmail address)
Password: nujhfssoIxximcsa
Recipient Address: Your own email address
Port: 465

2. After filling in the information, save it first and then test. If the test fails, refer to: Reolink Email Test Failed

3. If you want to set up email alerts for two cameras, it's recommended that you use two different Gmail addresses as their sender address and generate App password respectively.

If you have multiple cameras and only one is having issues, or if a previously working camera has suddenly stopped, try generating a new App password to see if that resolves the problem. If the test still fails, refer to the "Reolink Email Test Failed" article above for troubleshooting.
