This article is an easy-to-understand guide on how to add Reolink cameras to Amazon Alexa. Follow the steps below and enjoy the convenience brought by such smart home technology.

Applies to: All Reolink cameras except Reolink Duo PoE, Reolink Duo WiFi, Reolink Duo(battery), Reolink Duo 4G, Reolink Go, Reolink Go PT and add-on cameras included in the NVR kits; Reolink cameras added to Reolink Home Hub or Reolink Home Hub Pro (even those previously mentioned as not supported) will be supported once added to the Home Hub.

Note: To use your Reolink cameras with Amazon Alexa, you need to have the following devices and apps set up: Reolink camera, an Amazon Echo show or an Amazon Echo Spot, Reolink App, and Amazon Alexa App on your mobile device. If the current camera firmware is not compatible with Alexa, please go to the Download Center to upgrade the camera to the latest firmware.

Step 1. Launch the Reolink App and log in to your Reolink account, and then tap Cloud > Smart Home option.

Step 2. Enable the device you want to add to Amazon Alexa on the Smart Home page.

Note: When the camera is successfully enabled, the button will be shown as Unbind.

Home Hub enables you to easily add several cameras to your smart home at once. Only Home Hub will be visible on the Smart Home page under Reolink App. When enabled, it indicates that the smart home function for all cameras added to Home Hub is activated.

Step 3. Open the Alexa App. Tap + in the upper right corner, tap Add Device.

Step 4. Choose Camera > Reolink Brand.

Step 5. You will see the following prompts. When you have confirmed all of them, tap Yes for each one.

Step 6. Connect Reolink Account to your Alexa App. Tap Enable to use to enable Smart Home Skills.

Step 7. Log in your Reolink account (make sure it is the same one that the device is linked to), and then tap Log in. Tap Allow.

After logging in successfully, the App will remind you that Reolink Smart Home has been successfully linked. Tap Next to go to the next step.

Step 8. Alexa is looking for devices to connect and cameras that have enabled the smart home feature in the Reolink App will be detected. Tap Next to complete. Then, you can customize some settings for the camera, such as adding it to a group or SKIP to finish the setup.

Step 9. For Home Hub, you can choose the cameras you want to set up first and add them one by one. Once completed, these cameras will all appear on the device list page.

To test your camera, launch the Echo Spot or Echo Show, say “Alexa, show [name of the camera]" to view the live stream, and say "Alexa, stop [name of the camera]" to stop the live stream.

For doorbell cameras, they support live viewing and using the two-way audio on the Alexa App.
