Motion detection zones can be customized in order to reduce some false alarms. You may follow the steps below to set motion detection zones for your Reolink cameras via Reolink App.
Applies to: All Reolink cameras/NVRs(except for battery-powered cameras without smart detection, such as Argus 2/Pro, Argus 2E/Eco, Reolink Go/Go PT)
Here is a video for your reference to set up sensitivity, sensitivity schedule, and motion detection zone for your camera:
Step 1. Launch Reolink App and log in to your camera. Tap Detection Alarm > Detection Zone.
Step 2. Select no-alarm areas within the monitoring range with the Paint. You can also tap Erase to delete the setting. If you would like to paint or erase all the areas at once, tap Paint All or Erase All.
Then tap Save on the top right to save the setting.
For Duo PoE/WiFi camera, the detection zone for two lenses needs to be set up separately. You can follow the steps below.
Step 1. Launch Reolink App and log in to your camera. Tap Detection Alarm > Detection Zone.
Step 2. Tap Camera 1, and select no-alarm areas within the monitoring range with the Paint.
Tap Camera 2 and repeat the same step to paint the area.
You can also tap Erase to delete the setting. If you would like to paint or erase all the areas at once, tap Paint All or Erase All.
Step 3. Tap Save on the top right to save the setting.
For battery-powered cameras with smart detection, the setup of the detection zone is slightly different. You can refer to How to Set up Detection Zone for Battery-powered Cameras via Reoink App.
