Digital zoom allows you to enlarge the image on-screen and inspect specific areas more closely—without moving the camera. This feature is available on the Reolink App, Client, and Reolink NVRs. Follow this guide to learn how to use it across different platforms.

Applies to: All Reolink cameras except RLC-210W.

1. What is Digital Zoom

Digital zoom enlarges the image by cropping the edges and magnifying the center portion of the original field of view. It works similarly to cropping and enlarging an image in a photo editor—no optical elements are moved.

Note: Digital zoom does not change the actual image resolution or angle of the camera, and the zoom setting will not be saved after you exit Live View or Playback. If you are looking for zoom settings that persist, check out: How to Use Optical Zoom for Reolink Cameras
