For Cameras with Reolink SIM Card Included

If your Reolink 4G camera package includes a Reolink SIM card, you can simply use the SIM card to connect your camera to the network. To activate the SIM card, you need to link the Reolink SIM card to your Reolink account and purchase a data plan. Refer to this article for instructions on how to activate the SIM card: How to Link Reolink SIM Card to Reolink Account.

For Cameras Without Reolink SIM Card

If your Reolink 4G camera package does not include a Reolink SIM card and T-Mobile has a strong 4G signal in your area, we recommend using a T-Mobile prepaid data-only SIM card.

In addition, some tested virtual SIM cards, such as Mint and FreedomPop (based on AT&T), are also compatible with our cameras.

Part 1. Where to Purchase and Activate SIM Cards:

    1. T-Mobile (Prepaid Data Only): T-Mobile Prepaid Data Only

Note: Reolink 4G cameras are compatible only with 3G or 4G networks, and do not support 5G. Please ensure that you activate the SIM card on a 4G T-Mobile network. As of July 1, 2022, T-Mobile’s older 3G UMTS network is retired.

    2. Mint: Mint Mobile Starter SIM

    3. FreedomPop: FreedomPop Plans (Note: if you are using the Reolink Go PT camera model, you will need to import APN settings for the SIM card to function properly. The APN setting is ERESELLER. Please refer to the link for instructions on how to import APN settings: How to Import APN information to Reolink 4G Cameras)

    4. Verizon: If you happen to have a Verizon SIM card on hand, we recommend testing it with your camera to check if it can connect to the network properly. If the camera connects successfully, you can then activate a new SIM card for the camera.

Part 2. Important Notes for Purchasing a SIM Card:

  • The SIM card must be a Nano SIM card.
  • The price of the SIM card and the cost of data plans will vary depending on the carrier. Please refer to the carrier's pricing for accurate information.
  • Use the IMEI code of your phone, not the camera's IMEI, when registering the SIM card.
