Applies to: All Reolink cameras which support micro SD card & Reolink NVRs.
Note: The device settings page listed below belongs to the NVR, the setting page of the camera is different. The option listed in the Recording Option page depends on the model of your device.
There are other recording options you can configure for your devices besides the encode and schedule settings. Here is a brief introduction.
The Option page mainly includes four options( the below example come from an nvr system):
- Overwrite: Check this option, then the SD card or HDD will automatically overwrite the old recording files and store new recordings when it becomes full.
- Pre-record:
For all the IP cameras, it will support about 3-6 seconds pre-motion recording by default, and not able to enable/disable it manually on the Mac/ Windows client. In addition, the pre-record time is not able to be adjusted.
For all the NVR system, it will support about 3-6 seconds pre-motion recording for each channel, and you can manually enable/disable the pre-record settings on the Mac/Windows client.
- Post-record: The recording will last for the specific time if you configure the post-record for your device.
- Pack Duration: Set this option to determine the pack duration (Only Reolink NVRs support this function).
