Applies to: All Reolink NVRs and Reolink Home Hub Pro, Hub P1.
Note: All HDDs of Reolink NVRs and Reolink Home Hub are required to be formatted before being used. Once the HDD is formatted, all recordings will be erased.
Formatting HDD on Different Software

Via Reolink App
Here is a video for your reference:
Step 1. Log in to your NVR via Reolink App, go to Device Settings > Device Info page.
Step 2. Choose the HDD you want to format and tap on the Format button to format it.

Via Reolink Client
Here is a video for your reference:
Step 1. Log in to the Reolink NVR on Reolink Client and click on the Device Settings button.
Step 2. Click on Storage. Choose the HDD you want to format and click on the Format button.

Via Reolink Web browser
Step 1. Log in to your NVR via Web Browser and then go to Device Settings > Storage page.
Step 2. Choose the HDD you want to format and click on the Format button to format it.

Via Monitor (Reolink NVR with New UI)
Step 1. Locate the menu bar (Due to differences in NVR versions, the menu bar may be located at the top or bottom). Click Settings.
Step 2. Go to the Storage page. Choose the HDD you want to format and click on the Format button to format it.

Via Monitor (Reolink NVR with Old UI)
For RLN8-410 (hardware version H3MB02/H3MB16), RLN16-410 (hardware version H3MB02).
Step 1. Log in to your NVR via the monitor, and go to Menu > Device > HDD page.
Step 2. Choose the HDD you want to format and click on the Init button to format it.
Note: The S.M.A.R.T option is designed for the support team to check the information. Customers do not need to pay close attention to this option.
