If you plug your monitor or TV to the back of Reolink NVR, but there is no output to it, please read this guide carefully and find the cause.
Step 1. Connect the NVR to your monitor/TV via the HDMI cable (verified working) and check if the NVR is powered on(you may check the LEDs light on the DC adapter and front panel of the NVR).
- If the NVR cannot be powered on, try to contact support team for help.
- If the NVR could be powered on, turn to Step 2.
Step 2. Reboot the NVR a few times by unplugging & re-plugging the adapter from the electrical outlet. And see whether the issue is fixed. Also, please confirm if you got the Reolink Logo on the screen.
Step 3. Verify whether your monitor/TV and the HDMI/VGA cable are working or not by connecting it to a desktop PC. If your monitor/TV has a normal display from the desktop PC, then the monitor/TV and the cable are fine.
Step 4. If the cable you used is not the one that came with the box, make sure the cable is well within 15 meters in length.
Step 5. If you have a VGA cable and your monitor/TV supports VGA, try using the VGA and see whether the NVR will output to the monitor/TV correctly.
Step 6. When you’re testing HDMI (VGA), make sure you select HDMI (VGA) as the input source on your monitor/TV. Otherwise, your monitor/TV will say “no signal”.
