Reolink NVR Compatible Cameras

Does Reolink NVR work with other cameras? While Reolink cameras are perfectly compatible with Reolink NVRs, it is not recommended to add non-Reolink cameras to Reolink NVRs as compatibility cannot be guaranteed.

You can use Reolink cameras to work with Reolink NVRs.

How to Add 3rd Party Camera to Reolink NVR

If you still want to add the third-party camera to our NVR, here is the general guidance for your reference.

Step 1. Please make sure that the camera supports the ONVIF protocol and its Onvif feature is enabled.

Step 2. Open corresponding ports on the Reolink NVR (only available for New UI): How to Set up Reolink Ports/Server Settings on Reolink NVR (New UI)

Step 3. Connect the 3rd party camera in the same network as the NVR instead of directly plugged in. If camera is in a remote network, please do port forwarding for the camera. Due to the unique specifications of third-party cameras and routers, we recommend consulting the respective camera and router support for clearer configuration guidance about port forwarding.

Step 4. Check if the camera is detected on the IP channel list.

Move the mouse to an available channel to click + button.
