Adapter Plate

Screw Holes on the Adapter Plate: 

1. Hole 1: Designed to secure the adapter plate to the bracket.

2. Hole 2: Designed to secure the camera to the adapter plate.

Attach the Adapter Plate:

To attach the adapter plate, align the screw holes on the adapter plate with the holes on the bracket.

You may position the plate as shown in the image, with the marked screw hole facing forward.

Align the adapter plate grooves with the wall bracket protrusions, then rotate the plate clockwise. Ensure the screw hole on the plate align with the hole on the bracket, and tighten the screw at the back to secure the plate.

Remove Adapter Plate:

To remove the adapter plate, loosen the screw (position 1) counterclockwise to remove it. Then rotate the plate clockwise to remove it. Keep the screws and adapter plate for future use if not needed.

4. Install Your Camera with the Reolink RLA-BKW4 Wall Mount Bracket

Installation Preparation

1. Ensure the bracket is installed on a flat wall surface.
2. Ensure the wall can support the combined weight of the camera and the wall bracket.
3. Before you begin, please ensure you have the necessary tools on hand (not included with the product). Here are the tools you may need during the installation:

  • Drill Bit: To drill holes in the wall for the bracket mounting screws.
  • Hammer: To tap the drywall anchors into the drilled holes, ensuring a secure fit for the screws.
  • Screwdriver: For securing the screws into the bracket and the wall.
  • Install the Camera Without Adapter Plate

    Step 1. Prepare and Install the Bracket

    1. Prepare the Bracket:

    Slide the top cover off the bracket as shown below. 

    Loosen and remove the screws securing the adapter plate to the bracket. Keep the screws and adapter plate for future use if not needed.

    2. Choose a Wire Notch:

    Select one of the three wire notches based on your wiring needs.

    3. Secure the Cable:

    Pass the cable (Ethernet or power cable) through the hole as shown below. Then temporarily secure the cable with built-in hooks to prevent it from falling.

    4. Secure the Bracket:

    Attach the mounting template to the wall and drill holes according to the mounting template (drill not included). Align the bracket with the prepared hole and secure it using the included long screws.

    Use expansion drywall anchors for additional support if needed.

    Step 2. Install the Camera

    1. Remove the Mounting Plate:

    Rotate the camera’s mounting plate counterclockwise to remove it gently.

    2. Pass the Cable Through the Bracket:

    Pass the camera's tail cable through the round hole on the bracket.

    3. Attach the Camera to the Bracket:

    Align the groove on the bottom of the camera with the protrusion on the bracket, then rotate the camera clockwise to secure it.

    4. Connect and Organize the Cables:

    Connect the Ethernet or power cables to the camera. Then use the bracket hooks to organize the cables neatly.

    5. Put Back the Top Cover:

    Slide the top cover back onto the bracket as shown.

    Then secure the top cover with the short screw. Done!

    Step 3. Adjust the Camera

    Rotate the camera case and the body manually to adjust the camera angle.

  • Install the Camera with the Adapter Plate of the Bracket

    Step 1. Prepare and Install the Bracket

    1. Remove the Top Cover:

    Slide the top cover off the bracket as shown.

    2. Install the Adapter Plate:

    Position the plate as shown below, with the screw hole facing forward.

    Align the adapter plate grooves with the wall bracket protrusions, and rotate the plate clockwise until the screw holes match.

    Tighten the screw at the back to secure the plate.

    3. Choose a Wire Notch:

    Choose one of the three wire notches on the bracket based on your wiring needs.

    4. Secure the Cable:

    Pass the cable (Ethernet or power cable) through the hole as shown. Then temporarily secure the cable and prevent it from falling using the built-in hooks.

    5. Secure the Bracket:

    Attach the mounting template to the wall and drill holes according to the mounting template sticker (drill not included).

    Align the bracket with the prepared hole and secure it in place using the included long screws.

    Step 2. Install the Camera

    1. Remove the Glass Cover:

    Remove the screws securing the camera glass cover with a hexagonal screwdriver.

    2. Pass the Cable Through the Bracket:

    Pass the camera's tail cable through the mount bracket as shown.

    3. Secure the Camera:

    Make sure the cable entry on the adapter plate and the cable outlet on the camera are aligned.

    Align the screw holes on the camera with the holes on the adapter plate and secure the camera with the short screws.

    Tips:

    For small-sized cameras like the RLC-1240A, align the camera body with the adapter plate according to the gray circle, as the mounting holes are closer to the center.

    For large-sized cameras like the Duo 3V PoE, align the edge of the camera body with the edge of the adapter plate, as the mounting holes are placed slightly further out.

    4. Install the Glass Cover:

    Install the glass cover back to the camera.

    5. Connect and Organize the Cables:

    Connect the Ethernet or power cables to the camera. Then use the bracket hooks to organize the cables neatly.
