Upon satisfaction, confirm your changes by tapping Done.
- Note: These customizations are specific to the smartphone you are currently using, ensuring a personalized viewing experience without affecting the configurations of other users.
3. Remove a Device from the Reolink Home Hub
The table below summarizes how the camera behaves after being removed from the Hub, depending on whether it is connected to the Hub’s network or the router’s network, along with important notes.
Connection Type | Behavior After Removal from Hub | Instructions |
Camera connected to the router’s network (Reolink App) | After removal, there are two options: standalone use or not using the camera. | Follow the on-screen prompts to choose whether to use the camera in standalone mode or not. |
Camera connected to the router’s network (Reolink Client) | The camera can be directly deleted and re-added individually. | Deleting and re-adding the camera straightforward in the Reolink Client. |
Camera connected to the Hub’s network. | When a camera is removed from the Hub, it will go offline as it will no longer be connected to network. | To maintain access to the camera, connect the camera to the router’s network before removing it from the Hub. |
Notes:
- Once a camera is added to the Hub, it can no longer be accessed independently.
- When the Reolink Home Hub firmware is version v3.3.0.352_240926 or newer, and the Reolink Home Hub Pro firmware is version v3.3.0.339_24080758 or newer, removing a camera from the Hub will revert it to the camera's original password set during the initial configuration. For versions prior to the above firmware, removing a camera from the Hub will result in the camera having an unseen, randomly generated password. In this case, customers will need to hard reset the camera to use it independently again.
Via Reolink App
Tap icon of the camera you want to delete.
Situation 1: Your camera is connected to the router's network.
If you want to use the camera in standalone mode, you can choose Standalone Use. Then you can still use the camera normally after completing the setup.
If you want to delete the camera and do not need to use it, you can choose Not Use.
Situation 2: Your camera is connected to the Home Hub's network.
When you tap to delete the camera, your interface will appear as shown in the image below. If you tap Delete directly, your camera will go offline after the deletion.
If you want to use the camera in standalone mode. You can access the camera Wi-Fi settings > tap Switch to another network to change the camera's Wi-Fi first. Then proceed with the deletion. The following steps will be the same as in Situation 1.
Via Reolink Client
Hover your mouse over the camera you want to delete, right-click, and select Delete.
If the camera is connected to the Hub's Wi-Fi, removing the camera from the Hub will cause it to go offline. To prevent this, you can first go to the Wi-Fi network settings and connect the camera to the router’s Wi-Fi network. This way, when the camera is unlinked from the Hub, it will still have an active network connection. You can then access the camera individually using the camera’s UID and the original password set during the initial configuration.
Smartly rearranging and managing your cameras within the Reolink Home Hub not only enhances your monitoring efficiency but also personalizes your smart security experience. With these concise steps on changing camera order/removing devices from Reolink Home Hub, you can now enjoy an adaptable and user-centric surveillance setup.
