1. What Is Reolink Corridor Mode?

In tight or narrow spaces like hallways and entryways, traditional widescreen surveillance may leave blind spots and miss crucial details. That’s where Reolink’s Corridor Mode comes in—rotating the view to a vertical layout that fits the scene perfectly.
Reolink Corridor Mode is a powerful feature designed to optimize video surveillance in narrow and vertically oriented spaces such as hallways, corridors, and entryways. Instead of the standard widescreen 16:9 view, this mode rotates the image to a vertical 9:16 layout, providing a better fit for confined areas and capturing more relevant details.
By adjusting the camera’s orientation and output resolution, Corridor Mode helps maximize coverage and visibility, maximizes coverage, and improves overall security in confined environments.

3. What to Expect After Enabling Corridor Mode

Once Corridor Mode is enabled, the camera will automatically restart. After restarting, the live view will switch from the original 16:9 format to the new 9:16 vertical format. The video resolution will also adjust to match the new aspect ratio.

Note: The live view will appear rotated by 90 degrees. For correct orientation, the image must be rotated back (another 90 degrees) depending on your installation and viewing method.

Additionally, enabling Corridor Mode will reset some user-defined settings to default, including:

  • Motion sensitivity levels
  • Non-detection zones
  • Privacy masks

We recommend reconfiguring these settings according to your needs after enabling Corridor Mode to ensure optimal performance.
