What is an App password?
Most email services enable the feature of App Password, which are dedicated passwords used for logging into third-party Clients or accessing certain features. Among Reolink's various features, only the Email alert feature requires an App password.
Why do I need an App password?
Setting up an App password can help enhance the privacy and security of the user. If your email service supports this feature, we recommend configuring the email with an App password when using the email alert feature.
