Reolink software provides error prompts to indicate the status of your camera. But what do these error prompts mean? What do you need to pay attention to when you see these prompts? This article will guide you through each one of them.

Applies to: All Reolink Cameras

Incorrect password

Reolink "Incorrect password" error message means that the password for the camera/NVR is incorrect. Please enter the correct password, which was set up when you initialized the camera/NVR.
Note: If you haven't changed the username, it defaults to "admin" in lowercase, not your email address or any other name.

Not logged in to the device

The Reolink login error message "Not logged in to the device" indicates that you need to enter the correct username (the original username is admin) and password to log in to the camera/NVR.

Video loss

The Reolink video loss prompt "Video loss" means no camera is connected to the NVR channel. If there's a camera connected but it still shows "Video loss," please refer to this article for troubleshooting: Reolink Cameras Lose Connection from NVR (New UI)

Connection failed

The error message for the Reolink camera connection failed will pop up when there is a timeout or an error with the camera/NVR during the connection. It could be due to issues with the device used to log in (e.g., phone/PC) or with the camera/NVR itself. You can try reconnecting a few more times, and switch the mobile networks (4G/Wi-Fi) to ensure a stable internet connection before attempting to connect.

Device disconnected

The error message "Device disconnected" means your Reolink camera/NVR is offline. Check if the camera/NVR is powered and connected to the network. In addition, the Go Ranger PT may also display "Device Disconnected" in sleep mode.

Not connected

"Not connected" indicates that the battery-powered camera enters sleep mode to save power when no detection or live view is triggered, which is a unique function of battery cameras. If you'd like to preview the camera, click on the camera. For more information, please refer to:
