Applies to: All Reolink Cameras.
Field of view, abbreviated as FOV, refers to the area that a camera can capture through its lens. It primarily depends on two factors: the camera’s lens focal length and the size of its image sensor.
Generally speaking, the focal length is inversely proportional to the field of view. A longer focal length results in a narrower FOV, providing a clearer view of details. To illustrate the difference:
Meanwhile, the size and type of the image sensor also influence FOV. A 1/3″ image sensor, for example, offers a wider viewing angle than a 1/4″ sensor.
Reolink cameras boast various kinds of FOV options that can meet your needs. To find out more about the FOV of a particular camera
