This guide will help you set up your Reolink WiFi NVR using a monitor at the initial stage.
Applies to: RLN12W.
Step 1. Connect the LAN port on the NVR to your router's LAN port using an Ethernet cable. And connect a mouse to one of the USB ports on the NVR.
Step 2. Connect the NVR to a Monitor/TV via the VGA or HDMI cable.
Step 3. Plug the provided power adapter into the NVR and a power outlet, and then turn on the power switch.
Step 4. Wait for the splash screen to appear. The system booting process may take a few seconds.
Note: If the monitor screen remains black, ensure that the power switch on the back of the NVR is turned on.
Step 5. Follow on-screen instructions to configure language, screen resolution, date format, and time format. Then click Next.
Step 6. Save the UID/bar code of the NVR if needed.
Step 7. Set up the system time and time zone, and enable/disable the DST option according to the actual situation. Then click Next.
Step 8. Set up a password security question. Then click Next.
Step 9. Set up a password security question. Then click Next.
Step 10. Name your device and manage your HDD. Then click Next.
Step 11. Confirm Wi-Fi information on NVR.
Step 12. Connect the Wi-Fi camera to the NVR and sync the Wi-Fi info to it.
Step 13. Set up Email notifications for your NVR if needed. Then click Next.
Congratulations! You have successfully completed the initial setup of your Reolink WiFi NVR.
