1. Warm Light Characteristics
Reolink ColorX Series features an extra-large F1.0 aperture, an advanced 1/1.8’’ sensor, and the 3000K warm light. The combination enables ColorX Series to capture true-to-life color details in low-light environments, making it perfect for nighttime surveillance.
One standout feature is the warm light. Unlike traditional white spotlights, the yellowish-warm light is much softer and offers better control over its intensity based on the surrounding light conditions. This not only reduces potential pollution but also minimizes disturbance to your neighbors.
Note: The warm light is referred to as “spotlight” in the software.
2. Warm light/Spotlight Modes of Reolink ColorX Series
The warm light/spotlight of the Reolink ColorX series cameras has 4 modes:
1. Off: Turn off the warm light when not needed.
2. Timer Mode: The spotlight will automatically turn on at the start time and turn off at the end time you set, regardless of day or night or motion events.
3. Auto Mode: Set the warm light to be on according to the ambient lighting conditions. It adjusts its brightness for optimal night vision in the dark.
4. Smart Mode: The spotlight will automatically turn on at night when an alarm event is detected during the scheduled periods, and automatically adapt the brightness for accurate detection in low-light conditions, you can also select the detection type to activate the spotlight.
Note: Under this mode, the light cannot be set to turn off when motion is not detected. This is the characteristic of this model, that is, it is decided whether to turn on the light according to the brightness of the natural environment. Under any of the following circumstances, the warm light will illuminate.
- In low-light conditions, the light will automatically turn on and adjust the brightness, with or without motion detection.
- If a motion event is detected during the scheduled time, the warm light will be activated.
3. Warm light/Spotlight Brightness
Drag the slider to adjust the brightness of the warm light/spotlight of your camera. Adjusting the brightness affects the brightness of "Timer Mode" and "Smart Mode with motion detection". In "Auto mode" and "Smart Mode without motion detection", the light brightness adjusts automatically based on ambient light (with maximum brightness lower than manually set brightness).
