If you want to let the camera zoom in and focus on a specific place when live viewing your camera, the 3D zoom function is designed to meet your need.
Applies to: RLC-823A 16X, RLC-823S1, P840, RLC-823S2, P850, RLC-823S1W, W840.
Reolink 3D zoom offers greater flexibility. Unlike optical zoom, which can only zoom in on the current center of the frame, 3D zoom uses software algorithms to adjust the position of objects within the image, bringing edge objects closer to the center before zooming. This flexibility allows users to adjust the composition of the image.
This is an article that will show you how to use the 3D zoom function on Reolink Client and Reolink Web browser. Reolink App does not support configuring this function.

Reolink Client
Step 1. Log in to your camera on Reolink Client and click the PTZ button on the live view page.
Step 2. Click the 3D Zoom button. Then press down the left mouse button, and move the mouse to drag a rectangle on the area where you want the camera to zoom in.
Step 3. Release the mouse. The camera will zoom in and focus automatically on the area you drew.
Tips: You could slide the slider on the Zoom bar to the "-" side so that the camera will zoom out.

Reolink Web browser
Step 1. Log in to your camera and click the drag-down menu of PTZ at the sidebar.
Step 2. Click the 3D Zoom button. Then press down the left mouse button, and move the mouse to drag a rectangle on the area where you want the camera to zoom in.
Step 3. Release the mouse. The camera will zoom in and focus automatically on the area you drew.
Tips: You could slide the slider on the Zoom bar to the "-" side so that the camera will zoom out.
