If you want to let the camera zoom in and focus on a specific place when live viewing your camera, the 3D zoom function is designed to meet your need. 

Applies to: RLC-823A 16X, RLC-823S1, P840, RLC-823S2, P850, RLC-823S1W, W840.

Reolink 3D zoom offers greater flexibility. Unlike optical zoom, which can only zoom in on the current center of the live view, 3D zoom uses software algorithms to move the selected area to the center of the live view and zoom in on it to the maximum level. This flexibility allows users to adjust the composition of the image.

We will show you how to use the 3D zoom function on Reolink App, Reolink Client, Reolink Web browser and Reolink NVR (with a Monitor Connected).

  • Via Reolink App

    Step 1. Log in to your camera on Reolink App and enter the full screen mode.

    Step 2. Tap the PTZ button, then tap magnifier icon to enter the 3D Zoom mode.
    Tap anywhere on the live view to have the camera pan and tilt to that position.
    Double-tap the area you want to enlarge to zoom in, or pinch two fingers together on the screen to zoom out.ptz appzoom app

  • Via Reolink Client

    Step 1. Log in to your camera on Reolink Client and click the PTZ button on the live view page. Click the 3D Zoom button

    Step 2. Press down the left mouse button, and move the mouse to drag a rectangle on the area where you want the camera to zoom in.

    Step 3. Release the mouse. The camera will zoom in and focus automatically on the area you drew.

    Tips: You could slide the slider on the Zoom bar to the "-" side so that the camera will zoom out.

  • Via Reolink Web browser

    Step 1. Log in to your camera and click the drop-down menu of PTZ at the sidebar. Click the 3D Zoom button.

    Step 3. Release the mouse. The camera will zoom in and focus automatically on the area you drew.

  • Via Reolink NVR (with a Monitor Connected)

    Preparation: Connect a TV/Monitor to the NVR via HDMI/VGA cable.

    Step 1. Left-click on the camera’s live view to bring up the control panel, then click the PTZ button and click 3D Zoom.
