Once the protection code is set, you will be required to enter the protection code for managing (playing back, downloading) the encrypted cloud videos.
Note: Please make sure the firmware of your device has been upgraded to the version that supports Advanced Data Protection. Check whether your device supports advanced data protection.

1. Set a Protection Code for Reolink Advanced Data Protection
If you haven't set up a protection code yet, follow the instructions below to do so.
Step 1. Log in to your Reolink account: My Account.
Step 2. Go to the Security page and turn on Advanced Data Protection.
Step 3. Click Turn on the Protection & Set Your Code.
Step 4. We need to verify your email address. Please click Send Code.
Step 5. You will receive a verification code via email. Enter the code you received and click Verify.
Step 6. Set up a protection code according to your preferences. Click "Criteria for a protection code" for the code requirements, then create a hint to help you remember your code.
Step 7. After configuring, you will see your protection code. Verify that it matches your settings, and store it securely to avoid forgetting it.
Step 8. Done! You have successfully set up your advanced data protection, and now you can change or reset it as needed.
2. Change Your Protection Code for Reolink Advanced Data Protection.
If you have already set a protection code and wish to change it, please follow the instructions below.
Step 1. Log in to your Reolink account: My Account.
Step 2. Go to Security > Advanced Data Protection, and then click Check next to the Advanced Data Protection.
Step 3. Click Change Code.
Step 4. We need to verify your email address. Please click Send Code.
Step 5. You will receive a verification code via email. Enter the code you received and click Verify.
Step 6. Please enter your current protection code if you wish to change the advanced protection for videos already secured with this code, then click Confirm.
Step 7. Change the protection code according to your preferences. Click "Criteria for a protection code" for the code requirements, then create a hint to help you remember your code.
Step 8. After configuring, you will see your protection code. Verify that it matches your settings, and store it securely to avoid forgetting it.
Step 9. Done! You will receive an email to remind you Advanced Data Protection is changed. Your new cloud video uploads will be protected by your new code.
3. Reset Your Protection Code for Reolink Advanced Data Protection.
If you have already set a protection code and wish to reset it, please follow the instructions below.
Step 1. Log in to your Reolink account: My Account.
Step 2. Go to Security > Advanced Data Protection, and then click Check next to the Advanced Data Protection.
Step 3. Click Reset Code.
Step 4. We need to verify your email address. Please click Send Code.
Step 5. You will receive a verification code via email. Enter the code you received and click Verify.
Step 6. Set a protection code according to your preferences. Click "Criteria for a protection code" for the code requirements, then create a hint to help you remember your code.
Note: If you have other cloud videos that are protected with non-current protection codes, you will still need to enter the respective code to access them.
Step 7. After configuring, you will see your protection code. Verify that it matches your settings, and store it securely to avoid forgetting it.
Step 8. Done! You will receive an email to remind You've Reset Your Protection Code. Your new cloud video uploads will be protected by your new code.
