If you need to get alerted only when the doorbell button is pressed, you can refer to the article below to set up the alert settings for the Doorbell camera via a web browser.
Applies to: Reolink Video Doorbell PoE, D340P, Reolink Video Doorbell WiFi, D340W
Please note that if you configured your camera following the steps below, you will only get push notifications and alarm emails only when a Visitor triggers the doorbell camera. The camera still detects people's motions and other motions but will not alert you.
Step 1. Input the IP Address of your camera on a web browser and log in to your camera.
See how to find the IP address of your camera.
Note: Make sure your PC is connected to the same router as your camera.
Step 2. Click the Device Settings gear icon on the top right corner.
Step 3. Go to Surveillance > Push > Schedule.
- Check Visitor only among all the alarm types.
- Left-click Enable/Disable and then click on the weekly timetable (a grid stands for one hour).
- Blue means you will receive a Visitor push notification once the camera detects a visitor in that hour. Grey means disabled. For example, the schedule below means you will receive push notifications on your phone on weekdays that someone presses the doorbell.
- Click Save to save the settings.
Step 4. Go to Surveillance >Email.
- Enable Email Alerts first or you won't receive any email alerts.
- Finish the crucial Email Settings. You can refer to the email settings part in How to Set up Email via Web Browsers.
- Select Alarm under Schedule. Tick Visitor only among all the alarm types.
- Left-click Enable/Disable and then click on the weekly timetable (a grid stands for one hour). Blue means you will receive a Visitor email once the camera detects a visitor in that hour. Grey means disabled.
- Make sure all the grids on the timetable of the Timer are grey if you don't want to receive a timer email according to the set email interval.
- Click Save to save all the settings.
Done! Now you will only get alerted when someone is actually pressing the doorbell button. If you still want to get alerted when the camera detects the motions of a person or any other objects, please select Person/Any Motion accordingly when you set up the schedule for push/email/camera recording.
