This article intends to offer some possible causes and solutions if you fail to change the configuration for your camera.

Description: When you change the configurations, say, the position of the camera name, the new configurations do not take effect, and you find the configurations have been returned to factory default. The scenario of losing configuration may happen every time you change the configuration, or it happens sometimes. 

Cause 1. The reset button of the camera might be stuck or broken.

Solution: Check if the reset button still works well. You can manually press and hold the reset button to test whether the camera will be reset. If the camera cannot be reset successfully and you cannot reinitialize the camera, it means the reset button has some problem. you may contact our support team for further help.

Cause 2: The firmware of your camera is not the latest one.

Solution: Upgrade the firmware for your camera.
