Once enabled, Auto Upgrade will save you time downloading the latest firmware from our download center and manually upgrading your camera/NVR. Here is a guide on how to do it on Reolink Client.

Applies to: All the battery-powered cameras, WiFi/PoE cameras with smart detection, and Reolink NVRs.

Before the settings, make sure you have downloaded and installed Reolink Client on your PC.

Step 1. Launch Reolink Client, log in to the camera/NVR, and click the Device Settings gear icon.

Device Settings gear icon

Step 2. Go to System > Maintenance > Firmware Update page. Enable Auto Upgrade (turn it blue).

Notes:

  1. Click "Check for Latest Version" to see if the firmware of your camera/NVR is upgraded to the latest one.
  2. Only battery-powered cameras and some PoE and WiFi cameras with this option can auto upgrade when they detect new firmware released online. Therefore, if your camera is not a battery-powered camera, and it shows "This is the most current version available" when you click "Check for Latest Version", it is still recommended to check the latest firmware on Download Center.
