Reolink cameras could automatically switch between color and black-and-white image modes based on ambient lighting conditions. This switch threshold could be adjusted according to your needs.
Applies to: All Reolink cameras except the battery-powered camera, RLC-410, RLC-520, RLC-511, RLC-522, Lumus, and Video Doorbell cameras.
Below is a guide on how to set up the color and black-and-white switching threshold for your camera on the Reolink Client. Before setting up, make sure you have selected the Auto mode of Day and Night for your camera.
Step 1. Launch the Reolink Client and log in to your camera. Click the Device Settings gear icon.
Step 2. Go to Display > Advanced. Slide the slider on the bar of "Black&White and Color Switching Threshold" to adjust the value. The default value is 0.
- The higher the value, the easier the camera will switch to the Color mode; the lower the value, the easier the camera will go into the Black-and-white mode.
- Please leave the value to be the default if you don't have any special requirements. You can scroll down the page and click Default as in the picture shown below.
