This article intends to guide you through the setup of linking Reolink IoT devices to Reolink cameras via NVR with a monitor connected. Please follow the guide step by step.

Applies to: Floodlight PoE/WiFi, RLN8-410 (hardware version H3MB18/N2MB02/N3MB01/N7MB01), RLN16-410 (hardware version H3MB18/N6MB01), RLN36 and RLN12W.

Note: Please make sure your NVR supports IoT devices. If you are not sure, refer to this article: Which NVR Supports Reolink IoT Devices.

Step 1. Click the Settings gear icon on the NVR live view page.

Step 4. Link a camera that is connected to the NVR to your floodlight.

You need to configure "IF" settings and "Then" settings respectively. The picture above takes TrackMix PoE as an example:

If the TrackMix PoE detects a person or pet motion in the time period from 00:00 to 23:59 on weekdays, then the Floodlight WiFi will react like this: Light is on for 30 seconds, and the default Alarm goes off.

Notes:

  • IPC refers to the camera you want to link to your floodlight. Click the drag-down icon to choose a camera from all the cameras connected to the NVR.
  • Detection refers to the motion types detected by the camera. Tick the motion type that you want to trigger the floodlight. The motion types vary according to different camera models.
  • Schedule refers to the specific time period in a day. Only during the scheduled time could the ticked motion type detected by the camera trigger the floodlight.
  • Repeat refers to copying the time schedule to any other day. The letter in blue means the time schedule has been successfully copied to that day.
  • Action refers to the action done by the Floodlight when it is triggered by the camera.
  • Light is one action type of floodlight. Tick to enable/disable it, and click the drag-down to choose the lasting time of Light.
  • Alarm refers to the audio alarm from the floodlight. Tick to enable/disable it, and click the drag-down to choose an audio alarm.
  • Copy to Other Device means to apply all the settings to another camera you choose. By doing so, the selected camera will link to the floodlight the same way as the current one.
  • Don't forget to click Save after finishing the setting.

Step 5. Your camera has been successfully linked to the floodlight.

Click the button beside the camera name to turn it grey if you want to disable such a linkage between your camera and the floodlight.

Click the Edit button if you want to change the linkage settings. Then you will go back to Step 4

Click the Trash Can button and the linkage between your camera and the floodlight will be deleted.
